Sedgwick 1099 premium auditors complete all levels of premium audits on multiple auditable exposure types. Our phone auditors work remotely and complete audits for Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance policies, including General Liability (GL) and Worker’s Compensation (WC).
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role requires working directly with the policyholder or their designated contact, over the phone to gather payroll and other accounting information, in addition to collecting other details to properly evaluate and apply correct classifications and exposure amounts for said policies. All assignments are provided by a team lead through our web-based system. This is a fully remote position, and you will work from home to conduct audits.
Main duties include:
Preparing for audits by identifying necessary information and record types needed by reading the client book attached to each assignment Corresponding with insureds or their representative via phone and email Examining data to determine correct classifications for business activities and writing effective descriptions of operations Entering progress notes, completing and submitting audits for review Preparing complete audit documents, explaining audit results to insured, and communicating results for staff review
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred At least two years of previous premium auditing experience with a background in insurance, accounting, payroll or other related work experience Willingness to work during typical business hours: Monday - Friday; 8a - 5p local time Well-organized self-starter with superior time management skills able to work with minimal supervision Great customer service skills and the ability to communicate both written and orally Professional phone skills
